日常生活やあらゆる分野で、新時代を迎えるための過渡期に突入しています。ただ今回迎えようとしている新時代は、今まで通り常識を壊すタイプもあれば、過去の物事でも時代に合えば引き継ぎ、より良く追求していくタイプもある等、新しさの種類や答えが多様に存在する部分で、先人たちが経験してきた新時代とは違う、質感の新しい“新時代”と見ています。様々な気持ちを抱きつつ、経験のない未来に向かっている今日日、そういう過程だからこそ起こる感情を煽ったり、刺激になるような作品ができればと思い、今回のような曲を作りました。

自宅のプリンターがハガキを印刷する時、“♪ソラシ！ソラシ！”、と唸ります。面白いのでその音を録り、それをリフとしてほぼそのまま使った曲が、この「家庭用印刷機」という曲です。曲中ではそのリフの他に、断片的にサンプリングした様々なプリンターの音を組み合わせ、リズムビートに構築して使用しています。プリンターを中心としたアンサンブルを、どうぞお楽しみください。なおジャケットデザインは、SQUIDのプロフィール画像も制作してくださったzoiek氏。

SQUID + 内藤 美和 ／ シングル『フレーム ~二十五絃箏のための~』

箏・二十五絃箏演奏家の内藤美和氏を全面フィーチャーした、一人多重ミニマル曲です。
二十五絃箏を通じて、限られた状況・材料・モチーフのなかで、いかに多くのアイディアを楽曲内にて出し切れるかがコンセプトです。音源から聞こえる音は、全て内藤氏が演奏した音です。低音域からメロディーパート等の二十五絃箏の演奏は無論、箏の胴を叩く・帯締めの音・歩行で擦れる音等でビートを作ったり、声を出したりと、多様な音の重なりによって完成しました。
